I was just browsing through CodePlex looking for interesting things, and I came across this project.
We all have heard about the new navigation introduced with CRM 2013, and some of the pain points. This project aims to simplify the navigation, and make it available in a less “where did it go/where is it” fashion.
Take a look, install it in a test environment, and play with it. It’s quite responsive, and it can help organize things better for your users. Of course, the source code is available for additional customization. If you add something interesting, let the author know what/how, maybe he’ll add it on.
